At the start of 2015, we supported one industry – oil and gas – in one region – the United Kingdom. However, that year marked a step change in product development as the business became a true software-as-a-service innovator. The result: Kinetic, an agile product that can be configured for use across multiple industries.

Stephen Burt, managing director of Motion Software, said: “We undertook a business model innovation and, using in-house expertise, created a product with strategic growth opportunities. This was a fundamental change to our commercial and technical strategy and one that has reaped dividends in a relatively short space of time.
We were able to make this change by investing in high calibre personnel at Motion. Our team has made Kinetic better by continually listening to feedback from customers.
We’ve improved configuration, timescales, implementation, training and client engagement elements. Today, we have a product that is trusted by smaller businesses and blue-chip organisations to ensure legislative requirements are met in the inspection and maintenance arena. The next step on the journey is to grow the business and we’re already starting to make significant progress. We expect that 20% of our 2020 revenue will come from the US and Canada.
We are delighted to have achieved the 100th customer milestone. This represents a consistent effort by the Motion Software team over a sustained period.”

Kinetic enables employee and contractor mobility primarily in the areas of inspection and compliance, with new modules continually being added to cover the full scopes of work in the field. The software allows the digital transformation of operational and legislative processes, leading to better outcomes for all parties involved.

Motion Software has four units within the business – acquisition, experience, delivery and development, combining to deliver a product globally.
