Meet the Motion Management Team

With a wealth of experience in the inspection compliance industry, our team of experts are dedicated to our customers, ensuring that we invest in the development of our Kinetic software to provide the most efficient inspection software.

Meet some of the management team behind our software and hear what they love about their roles.

Graham Macpherson, Managing Director

What is your favourite part of your role?

I thoroughly enjoy forming relationships and working with customers to find meaningful solutions within the software, allowing them to maximise their use of Kinetic and associated applications and help address problems they face within their organisation.

What’s the most exciting project you’re currently working on?

We have been working with a potential customer to design a completely bespoke portal. A project that will not only allow us to use our knowledge of the compliance and inspection industry but transform the service provided to their customers.

Fun fact about you?

During University, I spent my summer placement working at a golf and country club in Westchester County, New York, serving Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger and Gwyneth Paltrow, to name a few! I also felt the need to jump out of a plane when I was there. Looking back, I’m not entirely sure why I did! Although it was good fun.

Louise Bruce, Professional Services Manager

What is your favourite part of your role?

I’m a complete finisher, so I love to see the project go from implementation kick-off, to live and operational.

What’s the most exciting project you’re currently working on?

Every project is different. Whether it’s wind farms, lifting inspections, pressure or hose, each client is unique, and I find it interesting seeing how we can use our software to work for them. The variations make each projecting exciting as we cover more industries.

Fun fact about you?

In my previous employment, I won a support contract increase by beating my client at a game of “Rock Paper Scissors.”

Louise Jadhav, Commercial Controller

What is your favourite part of your role?

We have many very committed, long-standing customers using the software, and when key contacts move on to new roles, we often see the same names leading the implementation of Kinetic in their new organisation. It is reassuring that the relationships we build and the services we provide breed trust and loyalty.

What’s the most exciting project you’re currently working on?

We are in the midst of a major overhaul of our internal systems and processes, which is already having a positive impact on the way we work. It may not be everyone’s idea of ‘exciting’, but I love a bit of organising and, our increased efficiency can only mean good things for the future of the business.

Fun fact about you?

I once camped on land owned by North Korea alongside an armed military guard. My late Grandad was a Korean war veteran, and so I was invited to participate in a programme designed to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the outbreak of the Korean War. Part of the programme saw me, alongside several others, spend a night camping nearby to a demilitarized zone. It was a lot of fun and nowhere near as scary as it sounds.

Calvin Smith, Sales Manager

What is your favourite part of your role?

Motion Software has a long history of providing mission-critical software to its clients, so I’m proud to be working in the business.

Having joined Motion recently, I’m looking forward to working closely with the team and our customers to see if there are ways in which we can grow together. I’ve been employed by at least one of Motion’s insurer clients and hope that my experience will help us win more business in that sector and personally, it will be interesting to engage with new and existing customers to increase my knowledge of the sectors they’re working in.

I play the guitar, but please don’t ask me to play it for you unless you want to listen to thrash metal!

Alastair Cameron, Senior Analyst

What is your favourite part of your role?

I enjoy working with people, both customers and colleagues. I am fortunate that my role allows me to work closely with our existing and prospective customers to understand their business needs and processes, allowing us to find the most effective solutions for them.

As part of my role, I am responsible for liaising between all of our departments at Motion, as well as with customers. I like to think this gives me a well-rounded view of what our customers require and what we at Motion can do to deliver a successful project for them.

What’s the most exciting project you’re currently working on?

There are several different interesting projects that vary with regards to the level of involvement I have, and they are all exciting in their own way. These projects will bring new people, new requirements and new challenges.

Fun fact about you?

With work and being a dad to a four-year-old, I don’t get too much down-time, but if I do, I tend to play the PS4 or watch something on Netflix. I also think it is important to have some time away from screens, so to relax, I often read or draw (because I like to pretend that I am artistic).
