Business Requirements:

• Provide a Point of Sale system for members of the sales team and printing of sales receipts/delivery documentation
• Track stock to ensure that levels can be adjusted and goods inwards and outwards can be monitored using an audit trail
• Purchasing of stock from suppliers including purchase order creation and recording of deliveries
• Management of supplied mobile phone contracts and access to upgrade guidance for sales
• Production of all outstanding invoices for billing to clients on an ad-hoc basis
• Calculation of the amount of commission to be paid on a monthly basis to sales professionals

Solution:

• Implementation of a barcode scanning system allowing stock coming in to be identified by any pre-existing barcodes
• A web-based intranet system was developing allowing the internal staff to securely connect on a password protected basis – without the need to install any software on their local computers

Technical Details:

• The intranet system was developed using the .NET Framework 1.1
• We supplied barcode readers which attached as input devices to the users PC and configured them using their native low level language
