Energy sector contract wins for Motion Software

Innovative Aberdeen company Motion Software has completed two contracts worth more than £50,000.

Motion Software – a Microsoft Gold Partner – has delivered its aspire inspection hose management system to Aberdeen-based Norson Power, a major supplier of hose and fluid connector products.

Motion – an exhibitor at Offshore Europe – has also implemented its aspire operations product for the new Aberdeen base of specialist downhole technology company Tomax. Motion had already carried out a similar project at the firm’s Stavanger office.

The software for Norson Power has a number of solutions from enabling engineers to undertake work where an Internet connection may not be available to providing integrated reports that can be accessed by management and clients.

Stephen Burt, Managing Director of Motion Software, said: “Our aspire inspection product is tried and tested in the energy sector. The Norson system provides a fast-track hose management and cycle inspection system.

“Aspire inspection reduces errors, saves time and money, gives process-based reports and allows quick easy access of real-time information to all relevant parties.

“We are speaking to a number of companies in the energy sector regarding management and cycle inspection software that is delivered through a Microsoft Office-type interface.”

Motion Software will be exhibiting for the first time at Offshore Europe at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (Sept 8-11). The company will be based at stand A21.

Motion Software, which recently secured contracts for work in Aberdeen, Dubai, Norway and Perth, Australia, was awarded Microsoft Gold Partner status last year in recognition of its innovative implementation and deployment of its technology.
