Motion Software launches lite version of popular Kinetic technology
Inspection businesses around the globe are set to benefit from technology previously reserved for larger enterprise companies, with the launch of new, world-leading software by Scottish innovation firm Motion Software.
The Aberdeen-based software developers have launched a ‘lite’ version of their Kinetic technology aimed specifically at inspection teams of eight or fewer. The solution helps businesses unlock their growth potential by significantly improving productivity and virtually eliminating human error.
Kinetic is used by some of the largest inspection compliance companies in the world who are responsible for ensuring their clients’ equipment complies with all relevant safety legislation and standards. These can range from lifting, fire detection and prevention, hose and other work equipment.
Managing Director, Stephen Burt, said: “We’ve been working with the inspection compliance sector from more than 20 years and have seen from all sides the challenges teams face. One of the greatest hurdles is capturing and sharing data quickly and accurately. Our Kinetic software provides an ideal solution and is use by some of the world’s biggest inspection firms. We’re excited to have now created an off-the-shelf version that’s specifically tailored for smaller teams.”
Motion Software’s technology has been used by more than 5,500 inspectors to create more than four million inspection reports, across 31 disciplines.
Traditionally, businesses had relied on a cumbersome and time consuming process of clipboard and pen inspections being manually entered into a spreadsheet before being transferred into another format for the final report to be prepared and certificates issued.
Kinetic Lite is preconfigured for LOLER, FHA, Fire and PUWER disciplines. It allows inspectors to complete their reviews using any type of device such as tablet, smart phone or laptop, data can then be sent instantly back to the office for analysis. Inspection teams can access the data anywhere – both on and off-line.
Where teams used to have to shoehorn inspection into a one-size fits all form, a wide range of templates based on Motion’s deep sector understanding not only allows data to be easily captured but also give s inspectors peace of mind that they are complaint.
