Intranet Manager was deployed ‘out of the box’ and then modified to fit with Chess’s exact requirements. This included writing an interface with Access Accounts to automatically import timesheets and expenses. This data was collected via the timesheet interface which routes timesheets to the appropriate manager for approval.

spacerSuccess Factor

The importing of timesheets saves Chess on average 3 days per month – in addition the ability to approve the timesheets on line gives the managers full visibility on current project (and past project) appraisal.

Intranet Manger was deployed ‘out of the box’ and modified to integrate with Crystal Reports and Crystal Enterprise (web based report delivery) which allowed AC Yule to create a single area to store and access reports. In addition AC Yule created a knowledge base for their ISO documentation and procedures which overcame version control issues that had been apparent.

By integrating Wonderdesk into Intranet Manager AC Yule has a fully functioning online IT help desk which tracks and monitors all complete/outstanding service requests.

Instant access to management information has allowed AC Yule to plan and identify opportunities and this along with the centralisation of documentation gives overall avoidance of duplication. The IT service / help desk also provides users with a dynamic set of FAQ’s which allows the IT department to focus on more productive tasks.
