Great Yarmouth based 3Sun Inspection Services are responsible for the ongoing inspection of pressure systems, lifting points and fire extinguishers on many of the Turbines fields currently in operation.

Motion Software has supplied the necessary software ,tags and hardware and to make this project a success.

Each wind turbine contains over 100 fixed components that require inspection on varying cycles. 3Sun have used RFID tags designed for use on metal to identify each of the components requiring inspection.

Rugged handheld RFID scanners allow inspectors to quickly identify each of the components and capture inspection outcomes. Data is then synchronising with Motion Inspects central database.

The end client has round the clock access to a graphical representation of component compliance across the field. The end client can also complete their own audits using RFID handhelds and software that recalls up to date read only information on inspections completed on each component.
