aspire was deployed in Jan 2003 and is utilised by 6 internal users over their local network. The system has been customised to maximise utilisation of equipment and primarily to reduce the number of days spent at month end carrying out sales invoicing. In addition the method of stock reconciliation and depreciation is now automated at year end.

Sales invoicing has been reduced to a 2 hour routine versus the 3-4 days previously giving Cansco a minimum of 33 extra man days per year. The visibility of Sales Enquiries and conversion to orders is also immediately available as is a stock locator which show exactly which tools are on hire to which customer at any particular time.

aspire has been deployed over the Internet using a secure connection to allow approved agents and distributors the ability to log in and use aspire (when the user logs in they have a filtered view on the data so they only see their assets).

All transactions are visible to head office through the use of alerts (email notification) using predefined criteria – this could be new order, goods returned , sales invoice raised etc

The Head Office in Aberdeen control all movement of assets but at the touch of a button can view the exact status of all enquiries and orders. This allows them to improve utilisation of assets and ensures that customers are given an even higher level of service due through improved response time.
